Bone Tones Black Buffalo Horn

Bone Tones are made of Buffalo Bone and Horn, all bi-product of the food industry (no animals were killed for picks). The plectrums are crafted to the Classic Timber Tones shape. The chamfer allows rapid flow on the strings and a very strict and accurate strumming, ideal for rhythm guitar. This effect is reinforced even further by the sturdiness of Bone and Horn.

The rounded tip of the plectrums contains the natural brightness and agressiveness (in the case of Bone especially) of the materials without hampering it: you may choose to use it, or not. These plectrums are about tone and regularity. Horn has often been considered as an alternative to Tortoise Shell, sound and hardness wise.

Tone

Buffalo Horn is the middle ground between hard wearing woods like Ebony, and Buffalo Bone. It is overall a bright material but its aggressiveness is balanced by the rounded tip of the Classic Timber Tones shape and chamfer. It opens your options to use or not the brightness of the material. Horn is fairly neutral on tone, having a good balance between high and low frequencies restitution.
It should also be noted that Black Horn is very hard wearing and flows especially well on strings compared to other Horn types.
