After over 50 years in the business I have decided to scale things back and concentrate on the servicing side. Having done over 40,000 repairs, a wealth of experience goes into every job and you can always be guaranteed my best attention.
ELECTROHILL started back in the 1960's when Richard Hill was still at school, building and repairing radios and amplifiers for friends. After studying electronics at Chelsea college in London, he spent a brief time in the electronics industry before becoming a live sound engineer working with a wide range of artists including Principal Edwards, Atomic Rooster, John Surman, Fabulous Poodles, Steel 'n Skin, Souxsie & the Banshees.
The first shop was opened in 1974 located just behind Konk (the Kinks studio) in Crouch End and was open in an ad hoc way in-between tours. Work was mainly servicing and custom building equipment for alot of the local musicians, as well as designing and building heavy weight reggae sound systems. In 1988 we moved to Palmers Green and grew to be North London's leading amplification & guitar store.
